: Viewing Night Cancelled
DPAS NewsDue to the ice and snow on the road and covering the StarGarden, the scheduled viewing night on Saturday, March 9 has been canceled. Surely by April we will be able to get out and enjoy the night sky again.

: Learn the Night Sky
DPAS NewsSusan writes "The final session of "Learn the Night Sky" sponsored by the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society will be this Saturday, December 22 at 7:00 PM. If the sky is cloudy, we will learn the constellations from the warmth of the planetarium. Use the Utah Street at Cove road entrance to the Astronomy Center. Turn left onto Sky Gazer Trail - providing the road is free of snow drifts. If we have to cancel, we will send an email by Saturday afternoon."

: Learn the Night Sky
DPAS NewsSusan writes "The Astronomy Campus will be open to DPAS members and the public to learn the basics of star gazing this Saturday, December 8 at 7:00 PM and again on Wednesday December 12 and Saturday December 22. Sky charts and red flashlights will be provided. Bring binoculars if you have them. If the sky is clouded over, we will open the planetarium to help us learn the winter constellations.

Use the Utah Street at Cove Road entrance, turning left onto Sky Gazer Trail. Call 746-1174 if you have questions."

: Learn the Night Sky Classes‏
DPAS NewsSusan writes "DPAS will hold four classes in very basic astronomy with the first session this Thursday, November 29 at 7:00 PM. We will begin in the Planetarium locating constellations and planets, then go outside to find the real thing. We will provide sky charts and red flashlights. Bring binoculars if you have them and we will locate Jupiter, Andromeda Galaxy and a few double stars.

: November General Meeting
DPAS NewsThe Door Peninsula Astronomical Society meets on Tuesday, November 6 at 7:00 PM at the Stonecipher Astronomy Center of Crossroads at Big Creek. The Space Mission of the Month will be the James Webb Space Telescope by Dave Udell and the main program will be Globular Star Clusters by Dr. John Beck. Guests are always welcome to attend the meetings and refreshments will be served. Use the Utah Street at Cove Road entrance to the Astronomy Campus on the newly named Sky Gazer Trail.
